Data deletion instructions

Last updated 14 October 2026

Draft for review. This text was prepared from how the Dollars software currently handles data and must be reviewed by the operator’s legal counsel before launch.

Pending review: the operator’s legal entity name, contact email or governing law has not been configured yet. Placeholders are shown in brackets.

This page explains how to remove data from Dollars, operated by [Legal entity name pending]. It is also the data deletion instructions page for the Dollars Facebook app.

Remove a connection yourself

  1. Sign in to Dollars and open Settings & Billing.
  2. Open the Integrations tab.
  3. Choose Disconnect on Meta, Pinterest or Shopify. The stored access token is deleted immediately and Dollars stops reading from or publishing to that account.

You can also remove Dollars from the platform itself: in Facebook go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites and remove Dollars; in Shopify uninstall the Dollars app. Uninstalling from Shopify clears the stored token, and Shopify later sends a shop redaction request that deletes that shop’s orders, sync state and credentials from Dollars automatically.

Request full deletion

To delete your Dollars account and everything linked to it (workspace, imported products and orders, tracking events, ad reports, generated creative and uploaded files), email [contact email pending] from the address you sign in with, with the subject “Data deletion request”. We will confirm your identity, complete the deletion and reply to confirm, normally within 30 days. Issued invoices are kept as financial records; they contain amounts, not shopper details.

Facebook and Instagram users

If you used Facebook Login to connect Dollars, the data Dollars holds about you is your access token and the names and IDs of the Pages, Instagram accounts, business and ad accounts you connected, plus ad reporting for those accounts. Disconnecting or removing the app as described above deletes the token; email us to delete the rest.

If you commented on a store’s ad or Page, Dollars shows your comment to that store when it opens Comments but does not keep a copy of the comment text. To have a comment removed, delete it on Facebook or Instagram, or contact the store. You may also email us and we will confirm that we hold nothing further about you.

Shoppers

Stores that use Dollars may record anonymous browsing events tied to a random ID stored in your browser. Clearing your browser’s site data for the store removes that ID. To have recorded events deleted, ask the store; Shopify forwards customer redaction requests to Dollars, which deletes that customer’s browsing events and removes storefront identifiers from their orders.
